During the month of June, the Bodegas Cornelio Dinastía team has been in different parts of the world showing our wines as the main example of what we are capable of doing. This is a fundamental task, sometimes as well known, to be able to explain our work philosophy to distributors, customers and end consumers.
Madrid-Biarritz
Cornelio’s trip around the world began on 10 June with a double commitment. On the one hand, Madrid hosted the eleventh edition of the Salón de los Grandes Blancos organised by Calduch Comunicación. It is an event with a clear national vocation as all the participants, up to a total of 57 wineries, are based in Spain.
It was a detailed mosaic of the Spanish producing areas, with their different grape varieties, terroirs and climatic conditions in which Bodegas Cornelio Dinastía stood out with a courageous proposal focused on the land to obtain excellent wines.
On the same day, the Salon des Grands Vins d’Espagne was held at the imposing Hôtel du Palais in Biarritz. In its second edition, the aim was to present the offer of a selection of Spanish wineries to an audience of French professionals in order to increase the presence of Spanish wines in this market, particularly in the Nouvelle Aquitaine region.
On this occasion, unlike the Madrid show, the target audience was the French market. Spain is the third largest supplier of wines to France, with imports of Spanish bottled wine into the country increasing every year.
Ecovino
On 14 June, the traditional Popular Tasting was held as part of the Ecovino Awards, which recognise the best organic wines. In this, the fifteenth edition, our wines have been in a prominent place, receiving the highest award, Gran Ecovino Oro, for Vega Vella Blanco 2023, as well as a Gold for Vega Vella Tinto Reserva 2015 and three silvers for Vega Vella Tinto Crianza 2019, Vega Vella Tinto 2022 and Vega Vella Rosado 2023.
The popular tasting was a good way to bring our award-winning wines to a final public interested in this type of organic wines. The response was very good and many people discovered the potential of our wines.
Zurich-New York
Once again with our bags packed, on 17 June the Spain Fusion event took place, where, thanks to the intervention of ICEX, a sample of Spanish products was held in the city of Zurich. It was a good opportunity to present our products to professionals from the Central European market.
And finally, from 24 to 26 June, a new edition of the Vinexpo America fair was held in New York. A very important event to promote our catalogue in the North American market. We also had the opportunity to have a brief chat with the Minister of Agriculture, Luis Planas, who was visiting to support national producers at this key trade fair.
So, it has been a very busy month of June, but it is one of the most effective ways to promote our way of making wine and to establish lasting connections to promote and eventually sell our wines to different national and international markets.
